Family Finance 101: Secure Your Family's Financial Future
Managing your family finances is much like running a business. You earn, spend, invest, borrow, and protect your assets. And if you don't know how to do it the right way, you just might find yourself in the red (living beyond your means) or in the hole (heavily in debt)! Many Filipino households find themselves spending too much, getting deeper into debt, and losing their jobs. They pay way too much on household overhead like electricity and gas, consumer goods like groceries and entertainment, and financial products like housing loans and car insurance.
They're also not saving enough for their financial future. With the cost of education getting too expensive, it's getting harder to save for college. Even with both parents working, often it feels that you're still trying to just make ends meet. You're nowhere near securing your family's financial future. It's time to get on the right track!
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
At the end of this seminar, you willl take away these 5 lessons:
- Take back control of your family finances through money tools you can implement in no time
- Develop an effective strategy of funding your children's education using multiple financial products
- Secure your sources of income through the right career moves
- Answer your common household financial dilemmas like "Is it better to rent or to buy a house?" and "Do I really need car insurance or can I just save on my own?"
- Pick the right financial products for your family such as a housing loan and car insurance
We have a distinguished roster of speakers who will share their expertise, including:
- Salve Duplito, family finance expert, co-editor of the best-selling "Pwede Na!" series of personal finance books, veteran financial journalist, and former Inquirer.net editor and MoneySmarts blogger
- Vicente Kilayko, director of Drake Beam Morin (DBM) Philippines, and active member of the People Management Association of the Philippines
- Alvin Tabanag, personal money management coach, Registered Financial Planner, author of "Kaya Mo Pinoy! 12 Steps to Build Wealth on Any Income", and founder of Pinoy Smart Savers
- And more!
