Hermit the Risk Management Expert

I am a Money Magnet! We are Money Magnets!

Over the Lenten season, Money Magnets has found a new in-house Risk Management Consultant.  His name is Hermit!  Who knows how old he already is.  He surely has lived a long life and one can gauge that he knows a lot about life and taking risks.  Here's what he has to say to all of us on Easter day.

When Hermit outgrows his shell, he looks for a bigger shell and takes the risk of leaving his old shell so he can settle in his new one.  It is by doing this every now and then that he allows himself to grow.  If he fails to do this, he will either outgrow his shell and expose himself or destroy the shell because it can no longer accommodate his size.  When this happens, he will be exposed to all kinds of danger.  So in order to secure his future, he learned to assess things and take the risk when necessary.  It is by taking this risk that he allows himself to grow.

In order to achieve our financial goals, we must learn to take some risk in exchange for better returns.  If your current strategy to achieve financial freedom is not working,  learn to leave this behind and come up with a new one.  It is by continuously taking calculated risks, challenging ourselves, and learning from our experiences that we allow ourselves to continuously grow.  The more we grow the closer we are to achieving financial literacy and to becoming financially free.

Happy Easter Money Magnets!

  1. Over the Holy Week my cousins and I were collecting hermit crabs by the beach. We were removing the crabs from their shell and expecting the crabs to go back to their old ones. Some of them do, some of them don't and they continue to walk in search of another better one. I never thought about the risk management side of these creatures. Thank you for shedding light.

  3. I forgot to add ... Please don't remove the crabs from their shells just for fun (^o^)/ Let's be kind to both people and animals.
